Your license and construction experience are valuable. Contractor Licensing Inc. places licensed contractors as W-2 qualifying agents with vetted companies across the country, with every placement protected by a formal Qualifying Agent Agreement.
What Is a Qualifying Agent?
A qualifying agent is a licensed contractor with a thorough understanding of the construction business. By qualifying a company, you give its owner the opportunity to become licensed and active in the construction industry, and you provide the experience and supervision that keep its work safe, professional and code-compliant.
Qualifiers placed through Contractor Licensing Inc. are engaged as W-2 employees of the company they qualify, creating a legitimate working relationship that meets state licensing board expectations.
Every placement includes a formal Qualifying Agent Agreement that protects both you and the business owner by clearly defining responsibilities, supervision authority, compensation and terms.
We Do Not Rent or Broker Licenses
Your license is your livelihood. Every placement we make is a genuine employment relationship with real supervision duties, structured to comply with state licensing laws and protect your standing with the board.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to be an owner of the company I qualify for?
No. You'll be placed as a W-2 employee of the company rather than an owner. If you're not an owner or officer, the company will typically designate a Financially Responsible Officer (FRO) to assume financial responsibility, so your role can focus on construction supervision.
How much can I earn as a qualifying agent?
Compensation varies by state, trade and the scope of supervision the placement requires. Our team will discuss expected compensation with you once a potential match is identified, and the final terms are set out in your agreement.
What are my responsibilities once I'm placed?
As the qualifying agent, you supervise the company's construction work under your license. That typically includes overseeing job sites, reviewing permits and contracts, and making sure work meets building codes, along with keeping your license in good standing. Your exact duties and the authority you need to perform them are defined in your Qualifying Agent Agreement.
How is my license protected?
We only place qualifiers with vetted companies, and every placement includes a formal agreement giving you the supervision authority and access to records your role requires. We do not rent or broker licenses.
Can I be licensed in multiple states or trades?
Yes. Qualifiers with multiple active licenses or multi-state credentials are especially valuable in our network and often see more matching opportunities.
Is there a cost to join the network?
No. There is no cost to submit your application and join our qualifier network.
