Qualifier Placement Services
Locate a Qualifier for Your Contractor License
Contractor Licensing Inc. connects companies with experienced, licensed qualifiers across the United States. Whether you need short-term or long-term placement, we maintain one of the nation's most extensive qualifier databases to help you get licensed quickly and legally.
What is a Qualifier?
A qualifying agent is an individual with proven experience, exam results, and board approval, designated to represent your company before the state licensing board. Without a qualifier, companies cannot legally perform contracting work in most states.
- Typically requires 4–8 years of verifiable trade experience
- May be an owner, officer, employee, or approved designee
- Ensures your business can legally bid and perform projects
Why Use Qualifier Placement?
If your company's principals don't yet meet experience or exam requirements, we provide licensed individuals to act as qualifiers. This allows you to:
- Obtain a license quickly and begin work
- Operate legally in new states
- Gain time for staff to build their own qualifications

Contractor Licensing Inc. maintains an extensive network of qualifiers in every trade and state. Whether you need general, plumbing, mechanical, roofing, or specialty qualifiers — we can match you with the right licensed professional.

When a Qualifier Lacks Financial Authority
If your qualifier is not an owner/officer, the company must designate a Financially Responsible Officer (FRO) to assume financial responsibility. This requires:
- Submitting an FRO Application to the state board
- Purchasing a $100,000 FRO Bond
Qualifier Agreements
We recommend a formal qualifier agreement between companies and qualifiers. This protects both parties by clearly defining responsibilities, compensation, and terms.
Visit Contractor Counsel - Legal Services for Florida Contractors for customizable agreements tailored to qualifier and FRO placements.
